St. Patrick’s Day Events in Atlanta 2020
Atlantans love St Patrick’s Day and the long list of celebrations proves it! Whether you plan to gulp green beer all day or run a 5K, we have you covered. Because the holiday falls on a Thursday this year, many of the big events start the weekend before on March 12th. See the most popular St. Patrick’s Day parades, events, and festivals in Atlanta below…
Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Parade
It’s the annual St Patty’s parade in the heart of Midtown Atlanta on March 14, 2020. This family-friendly event features Bagpipe & Drum Corps, local high school bands and drill teams, floats, leprechauns, you name it! The emphasis of the St. Patty’s Day parade is on children and families. The parade starts at 12 noon (rain or shine) and we highly recommend getting there early, especially if you want to watch the 5K fun run. Visit the official parade website for more information, including 5K registration, parking, MARTA and the best viewing spots!
Fado Irish Pub Outdoor Event in Buckhead
Atlanta’s largest St. Patrick’s Day festival in the heart of Buckhead. It’s an all-day “Patty Hard” event with several bars participating, live music, beer gardens, food and more. There are several different tiers of tickets, ranging in price from $20 to $40. Get the full scoop on this popular St. Patty’s fest on March 14th.
Kegs-n-Eggs in Virginia Highland
Kick-off St. Patrick’s Day at 10:00 am on March 15 with what might be considered a “brunch pub crawl”. Five participating Virginia Highland restaurants will be serving eggs and mimosas, deviled eggs and green beer, green waffles with a green jello shot – you get the idea. If you think this sounds like an egg-cellent idea, get your tickets asap — only 500 tickets are available and they are almost sold out!
Shamrockin’ For A Cure
On March 21st, support cystic fibrosis research and enjoy the chance to taste samplings from the best restaurants in Atlanta, drink from a cup that never empties, dance to music all night, and shop among a special auction collection.
