More than 30,000 neighbors and fellow Atlantans flock to what is typically the last festival of the Summer.  The 18th Annual Grant Park Summer Shade Festival is sure to be a good one this year, with more than 100 local artisans, a great music line-up, the Run for the Park 5K, Kids Zone and of course, some yummy food and local craft beer!  If you haven’t been to Grant Park before, it is one of Atlanta’s largest public parks and it’s gorgeous with historic homes surrounding the park. You’ll be able to walk along the shaded trails that wind through the park as you browse through the artist’s booths and sample local eats.

Artist’s Market

Artist market and food trucks at the Grant Park Summer Shade FestivalAfter the 5K race, head over to the artist’s market where you will find more than 100 booths and everything ranging from paintings to photography, jewelry, vintage antiques and unique gifts.

What we love most about the Grant Park Summer Shade Festival is that the artist’s market is spread out and doesn’t feel too crowded. It’s a relaxed atmosphere (compared to so many other Atlanta festivals) and allows you to take your time as you stroll down the shaded walking trails.

Live Music, Food + Fun

There will also be live music all day (line up will be announced soon!), as well as food trucks, picnic areas, and the Kid’s Zone with oodes of activities for kids of all ages!  Craft beer will be served throughout the festival.

There will also be a VIP Lounge with private pavilion, lounge seating, complimentary food, wine, and premium beers. Throughout the day, you can partake in wine tastings and culinary demonstrations from some of your favorite Atlanta Chefs. There will also be air-conditioned restrooms (no porta-pottys for the VIPs!), misting stations, and the chance to meet some great people. Please purchase your VIP tickets prior to the event, but the rest of the event is free!
