How ‘Bout Them Apples? Festival
Sunday, September 23 in Downtown Decatur
It’s finally here! We made it through the hottest days of summer and as the cooler weather settles in, the city is full of fun fall festivals and outdoor activities; and nothing says fall quite like a crisp ripe autumn apple.
Hosted by No. 246 in Downtown Decatur and in partnership with Leon’s Full Service and Brickstore Pub, the festival centers around the tastiest treats of the fall harvest- apples! In addition to a whole pig roasted by Chef Eric Ottensmeyer of Leon’s Full Service, there will be a variety of tasty apple-centric deserts including caramel apples, apple upside down cake, apple candies and more. But the event highlight of the event will no doubt be the fall classic, apple cider. A total of seven different types of ciders will be available for tasting, six of which will be apple cider cocktails and of course, there is also a family friendly non-alcoholic cider, fresh pressed from apples harvested right here in North Georgia.
The festival takes place on Sunday, September 23rd in Downtown Decatur at No. 246. Tickets are $35 for adults and include the cider tasting and food. Kids 12 and under cost $10. For more information, visit http://www.no246.com.
