Happy Fathers Day – Our Favorite “Dad-isms”

By Kerry Lucasse |

Happy Dad's Day from the Nest Atlanta teamHappy Father’s Day, Everyone!  In celebration of this special day, I thought it would be fun to highlight a few of my favorite “Dadisms”…

  • You’re gonna like it, whether you like it or not!
  • Don’t ask me, ask your mother.
  • This is your last warning, missy!
  • I’m not just talking to hear my own voice!
  • Don’t forget to check your oil.
  • Did you check the oil?
  • Are you SURE you checked the oil?
  • The early bird gets the worm.
  • If your friend jumped off a bridge would you?
  • You have things so easy!
  • What part of NO don’t you understand?
  • I don’t care what other people are doing!
  • Two wrongs do not make a right.
  • Don’t use that tone with me!
  • Who said life was fair?
  • Drive safe!
  • Don’t drive like a manic
  • Wipe your feet!
  • Enough is enough!
  • Don’t make me stop the car! [MY FAVORITE "DADISM"]
  • What did I just get finished telling you?
  • Act your age.
  • Go ask your mother!
  • Just wait until I get you home!
  • Home by midnight… not a minute later
  • Be home early.
  • Fill your mouth with food and not with words.
  • I’m not sleeping, I was watching that channel. [MY 2nd FAVORITE!]
  • You should visit more often. Your mother worries.
  • You should call more often.  Your mother worries.
  • Turn off those lights. Do you think I am made of money?
  • What do you think I am, a bank?
  • When I was your age…
If you have any favorites that you would like to share, please do!

A special greeting to our friend Tim, who just became a dad this week!  Also “coming soon” greetings to Marcelo and Ben, our client friends and soon-to-be Dads!

Have a great day!
