Fall in the Old 4th Ward
September 15 – 16, 2012 | Scavenger Hunt | Tour of Homes | Food & Fun
Steeped in history, downtown Atlanta’s Old 4th Ward district has been the center of revitalization efforts over the past few years. Surrounded by some of the most sought-after neighborhoods inside the perimeter such as Inman Park and Virginia-Highland, Old 4th Ward, commonly abbreviated as O4W, is full of historic Victorian and Craftsman homes. Organizers of Fall in the 4th Ward invite you to spend the weekend of September 15-16 getting to know the neighborhood.
The weekend’s events kick off at Irwin Street Market with a photo-shoot scavenger hunt race. Teams compete on foot or on bike in a race to capture a list of photographs of items of interest in the historical Old 4th Ward neighborhood. When the list is complete, the teams return to Irwin Street Market for food and fun. The top three teams win cash prizes. Sunday’s events are a bit less frenzied with a leisurely tour of the historic homes of the Old Fourth Ward area.
To register for the scavenger hunt or to buy tickets for the Tour of Homes, visit the official Fall in the Old 4th Ward website.
