In the heart of “Downtown” Avondale Estates, the unique Tudor Revival architectural style encompasses a strip of local businesses and really adds a unique flavor to the community. The City of Avondale Estates was recently featured as one of the “Best Old House Neighborhoods 2012″ in This Old House online magazine.

One of Avondale Estates biggest “claims to fame” is that it was the home of the 1st Waffle House!  The Waffle House Museum (in its very 1st location!) is open to the public in Avondale Estates, as well as an array of other restaurants and bars.
